Somalian woman alleges rape by auto-rickshaw driver

New Delhi, April 2 A 20-year-old Somalian refugee has alleged that an auto-rickshaw driver and his friend raped her last week, the police said Thursday.
The woman, who has been staying in the capital for the past two years, told the police that the two men raped her March 26. However, she reported the matter only after four days at the Nizamuddin police station.
“In her complaint she said she had hired an auto-rickshaw from Malviya Nagar for Nizamuddin, where she has been staying for the past two years. She said the auto-rickshaw driver and one of his friends took her to a secluded places where the auto-rickshaw driver raped her,” said a police officer.
“The men then left her outside her home,” the officer added.
The police said they took her to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for a medical examination. “No injury was found on her body and rape could not be established. But we have registered a case and are investigating the matter.”
