Rigorous imprisonmenta to former grama panchayat president

Kozhikode: The Kozhikode Vigilance Inquiry Commissioner and Special Judge here on Saturday sentenced three persons, including a former grama panchayat president and a former secretary, in connection with a case of performing an illegal construction in a rented building and encroaching upon a public land at Sulthan Bathery in Wayanad district 14 years ago.
Vigilance Judge MK Kuttikrishnan awarded two years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs.10, 000 on each PC Ahamed, former grama panchayat president, Sulthan Bathery, and T. Sageendran, former secretary grama panchyat, Sulthan Bathery.
