Seminar on the preservation of wetlands and mangroves

Kozhikode: The National Green Corps, attached to the Ministry of Forestry and Environment, a seminar on the preservation of wetlands and mangroves of Kottuli on February 2.
The seminar on the Sarovaram Bio Park will discuss the threat to the fragile wetland system of forces trying to destroy them for urban development.
MA Johnson, District Coordinator, National Cadet Corps, and Thyatt Balan, social worker, announced this at a press conference here on Thursday.
Dr. A. Achyuthan,environmentalist, and Dr. K.V Mohammed Kunhi, scientist, Forest Research Institute in Peechi, the main speakers.
Dr Madhavan Komath, scientist at the Center for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM) would talk about “wetlands and their relevance to biodiversity conservation”.
