Wednesday, 18.11.2009, 02:37am (GMT)

Kasargod: The state govt. has expressed its willingness to decide on Judicial Probe into Kasargod firing if needed. This was announced by Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. He said that the government was ready to hold an inquiry by any credible agency but there was practical difficulty in ordering a judicial probe by a sitting judge as it required prior sanction of the high court.
The minister said that the government would take an appropriate decision after holding talks at the ministerial level. He said that according to the reports that he received there was no lapse from the part of the police.
