70% polling in Kerala bypolls

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala saw heavy polling around 70% in three districts of the Assembly
Kannur, Ernakulam and Alappuzha largely peacefully through the ballot Saturday. While the final rate is officially announced, Kannur recorded the maximum increase. According to the district collector PB Salim, the final of Kannur is between 75 and 80%.
Alappuzha saw 70% of the votes polled, while over 65% reported Ernakulam elections. In total, about 400,000 people eligible to vote Saturday. The election was necessitated after the Congress legislators from these districts were elected to the Lok Sabha.
State Congress president Ramesh Chennithala told reporters in Alappuzha that the reports of the three districts reported that the winning party. "The victory is," said Chennithala.
Left ruling Democratic Front Convenor Vaikom Viswan, speaking in the same spirit, "said the left would win.The results will be announced Tuesday.
