Booking films can be now done at home.

Thiruvananthapuram, Jul 11: Film viewers now can book their tickets at home. The facility is offered in Kerala State Film Development Corporation-run theatres for watching movies, with the government approving a proposal to the effect by KSFDC.

In the beginning the facility will be available at Kairali and Sree theatres in the capital city, owned by KSFDC would have the e-ticketing system. It would also be introduced in the KSFDC-run Kairali theatre in Kozhikode also, corporation chairman N Ayyappan said.


The request for this had been accepted by city Corporation Council at its meeting yesterday after the government gave its approval. The system would be introduced in from next month. The e-tickets would have all the information contained in the printed ticket in theatres.

For booking only government-approved software can be used for e-ticketing and revenue officer of the corporation would be authorised to monitor the system periodically to assess the collection of entertainment tax.
